Your browser history says a lot about you. Take a moment to think about the time you spend online. Whether it’s browsing an Instagram account, listening to your favorite podcast, subscribing to the best web series on YouTube, or even addressing questions on tech-help forums, we want to know where you spend the most time online, and why. Please share your favorite online destination (via a web address, specific app, social network, etc.) - and describe why in a few sentences. (250 word limit)

My favorite online destination is the National Geographic website, a magical place with rainbows and dragons. Its appeal is in both its versatility and its forums, where I post my latest photographs and see other amazing shots from photographers around the world.

When I say versatile, I mean, it is the most versatile site I have visited. There are pages for world news that mostly focus on environmental issues but also discuss politics and social trends. There are tv shows, scientific articles, and amazing opportunities to join expeditions; in fact, I will participate in one to the Scottish Highlands this summer.

However, most importantly, National Geographic is a global community. I am an avid bird and landscape photographer and travel in pursuit of that perfect moment when the subject of my passion comes into focus within the lens. I share almost all of my photos on the National Geographic photographer’s blog and forum page, and in the process, I have met some of the most awe inspiring people, including a cave diver from Poland who has been to the Ordinskaya underwater cave, one of the greatest gypsum caves in the world.

Apart from my time on National Geographic, my browser history is also filled with Youtube’s Big Think channel or celebrity impressions, hundreds of thousands of Wikipedia searches, and the occasional check on Linkedin or Facebook. And so in this fashion I explore the internet, connecting with others, looking for laughs, and harnessing its infinite information.
