I would continue to be a Peer Leader because advising incoming freshmen on the variety of activities and opportunities in our school gives me a chance to help them advance their social and academic lives. One of my best experiences was when I was able to help two girls realize their overlapping interests in art with my unique icebreaker game during orientation night. When my family moved and I attended a new Middle School in 7th grade, I didn’t have help in understanding my new school. Being a peer leader allows me to give freshmen that understanding of our school’s culture that I wish I had received.
