Briefly describe how you learned about Santa Clara University. (150 words maximum)

I was born and raised in the Bay Area in San Jose, and since I can remember, Santa Clara University has been a part of my childhood and always been in my mind. I played tennis at SCU throughout middle and high school with Eagle-Fustar Tennis Academy. I often passed by SCU on my way to the Costco on Coleman Avenue or to San Jose Airport. However, only recently did I begin to get to know it as a place of learning.

My former teacher, an SCU graduate, talked profusely about how the university shaped his life, so I decided to explore more aspects of the school. What I saw strongly appealed to me, from strong morals grounded in faith to excellent academic programs and research opportunities; they reflect my personality and the Bronco holistic view, one I am excited to share.
