The George R. Brown School of Engineering at Rice University will help me follow my passion for video game programming and software engineering.
In elementary school, I loved playing video games, and that interest quickly morphed into curiosity as to how exactly these games are made. Since then, I have started my own small game studio -- TetraDSerket Games -- for which I’ve created three computer games and two iPhone apps. I have also taken the Project Lead The Way sponsored engineering classes at my school, and interned at a health-care software company.
I have used the computer graphics softwares Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Maya to model my favorite video game items, such as the Phantom Sword from the Legend of Zelda. I’ve even modeled and 3D printed a toy train.
At Rice, I want to continue to pursue my interest in computer science and engineering, and I know that Rice University’s engineering program will help me create something amazing.
