Glued to the screen for hours, my cousin’s eyes watched the next Khan Academy video in awe. Growing up in India with limited resources, he was able to get a free personal tutor through the wonders of computer science. My passion for computer science grew from my interest in self-learning, growing as I learned about computer science’s large-scale impact from developing antibiotics using AI algorithms to connecting people on opposite ends of the Earth. As a Purdue student, I seek to use computer science to create opportunities for those in need.
